I still cannot really believe this is the last day of November! What happened??? It has flown by, I am really holding onto fall colors like crazy, they just are good for my complexion and I pretty much wear them all year round but not a full outfit of fall. This is totally fall. I had fun this day running around snapping selfies in Downtown GH, I normally chose to do my city shots with friends so I don't look silly (even though it still probably looks really silly to outsiders) but I have decided...WHATEVER. I really am trying to overcome my insecurities and what better way than to act-a-fool in public. Plus maybe I will meet new people this way, people who instead of judging stop and say, HEY whatcha doin? I know if I saw someone doing the same i would instantly think BLOGGER ALERT and make try to make a new blogger friend! Fellow bloggers, what are your thoughts on self shots downtown? Do you try them? Do you feel silly?
I have also decided to begin including some of my photography in my blog posts, my mom suggested it and you know shes right, why not? I will try to include at least 2 shots in each post of something non-fashion related. I have always enjoyed taking photographs but just never thought myself any good, it has been really fun to go back through some old photos. I have about 100GB of photos on my computer.
Since I really have no idea what I am doing in the photography area i have a knack for shots like this, totally imperfect in a perfect kind of way. At least I enjoy my photography, and since I am the one with the 100GB to look at that's probably a good thing.
Nature/flower shots like this are my favorite. I have always dreamed of having an amazing macro-lens/camera and getting some insane shots. Its the scientist in me. I would love to have a camera that could take shots of bug scales, individual feathers on a bird etc, like a microscope style :D. Flowers like this are making me miss summer/fall but i love the colors....as we get into winter I will probably include many flower shots just to remind us that Spring will begin again!
Even though November is nearing the end, I am really looking forward to December. My goals are to redesign the blog a bit (the main thing I want to do is make a page that is like a calendar with a photo/link to each post/day, I have NO IDEA how to do this but I am hoping that doing the Blog(Design)Love course from Red Velvet will help!), get the vintage store up and running, finish sewing projects, actually have a real contest on the blog, and do an interview (that's a lot but its gonna happen!). Throughout December I get to see the boy quite a bit, am hoping to hear good news about the potential job (or a different one) and spend lots of time with family and friends! I am also excited to make a snowman, attempt snowboarding again, go sledding and drink vegan hot chocolate! What are you looking forward to this December?
