Grand Haven lighthouse and my favorite fries. day three-hundred-twenty-one

Growing up in Grand Haven I have a grand appreciation for lighthouses. Our lighthouse is in disrepair and our community has stuck together to try and fix it! They are currently beginning work on the lighthouse and it was really cool to see the work in action! I also took the opportunity to wear my new vintage pinafore top. I am obsessed with it and feel (and look) like a little kid! We then stopped and had my FAVORITE fries from Rays...yummm

I am just not a super heat kinda girl. I prefer like 75 maximum temperature up from there and I turn into a puddle. No seriously IM MELTING IM MELTING. It was so bloody hot I wore exactly as many clothes as I could which was like NO clothes. It was nice. These cropped tops by Tenden really do the trick! This one is made of this super fun slinky vintage fabric that hardly feels like anything.

I will admit. This past week I have been a sucky daily blogger. I am like 2 posts behind and will have to take the next few days to catch up. 

Despite that I have been getting dressed daily but I have been feeling icky and not wanting to take photos. Get over it. I have some left overs from the past week so those will roll out but soon I will have some catching up to do. 

When feeling lazy but wanting to look B/A a good rule of thumb is to throw on a pair of heels. Adding heels to any outfit casual or dressy really adds something. Wearing just a tshirt? Now you are date ready! At least in my mind adding heels ramps the level of your outfit way way up.

Whenever I see a pay phone I get really nostalgic. It reminds me of middle school lock ins and just the 90's in general. It is so rare to find one now a days but i find it exciting.

Welcome to the garden!!!!

Things are becoming productive on the farm, I have been harvesting Kale and lettuce every morning for breakfast and lunch! It is incredible to be eating food that is picked moments before from your backyard. It makes me so happy. As part of the slow movement it is my understanding that growing your own food is the slowest you can go! Just like making your own clothes! It has been super toasty so while weeding I don't generally wear that many clothes. It has also been very wet so thank goodness I got these rain boots at a garage sale.

 

 

As summer progresses I cannot wait to keep pulling things out of the garden! So yummy. Everything is growing so well we couldn't be happier. What are you growing in your garden this year?
