dogs and wildflowers. day three-hundred-forty-six

It is no secret I love my animals! They are like my children! So when something happens to them I FLIP OUT. Last year when Troy ate a piece of thread he had to have emergency surgery, Hedwig cat has eye issues and Rue (pictured above) had some serious health problems as a pup. 
So when Rue came back from frolicking in the wildflowers with something in her ear I immediately played doctor. We couldn't see anything but she just kept shaking her head. I already had an appointment for a few days out so I planned on just dealing with it then but then my dad texted me saying he picked up some ear cleaner we would try. He tried it that night and then when I got home I decided to do it again. I filled her ear canal with the liquid and let it sit for 2 minutes as directed. And during this 2 minutes I was thinking 'man it will be nice for Rue to have that weed/grass seed out of her ear' and then I let her go and she shakes. And 
WHAM !
A FREAKING WASP flies out of her ear! And yes you read that correctly I said WASP and I also said FLEW. He didn't fly so gracefully and landed on the ground and I immediatley screamed "DAD DAD A WASP A WASP" and started stomping on it. I killed it good and dead. 
But oh my goodness poor Rue had a LIVING WASP in her ear for a day. Could you even imagine?

It is no secret I am obsessed with t-shirts. Here is another for you. This one hails from an obscure thrift store where you have to spend hours searching through giant bins. I love it. I love this shirt as well. It makes me want to live in the southwest (not in Texas though surprisingly).

My buying new rarely happens. It is usually exclusively TENDEN. Or socks.  But Todd hosted a local event called Made Here #2. And I met the wonderful guy Chris and his lovely wife behind Alphabet Apparel. I love their fun prints they are hilarious and very simplistic. You guys know me...I couldn't pass up this Cat Lady piece. 
The burgundy color is wonderful and unexpected for summer and I love that it is an American Apparel Tee! I know just how they fit and how to buy them for shrinkage :D plus made in the USA!

summer strolls. day three-hundred-forty-three

There just ain't nothin like a good ole summer stroll through the forest and meadows with a dog and a friend. Can't beat it. Now that I am sitting here in my hoodie and sweatpants (cause its cold as frack) I am wishing it was hot like this again! Made the evenings so nice. Now its just too cold to even want a bonfire! Maybe I am just a wimp...yup thats it.

christmas in July. day three-hundred-forty-one

I love me some Christmas gear!!! We celebrate Christmas in July at work because we get SO MUCH Christmas stuff i just have no where to keep it! So all week last week i wore Christmas outfits. Also if you don't remember it was RIDICULOUSLY HOT HERE so that was fun to try and manage!
