Here is the problem...vegan shoes just don't stand up to the test of elements or time. When I got these from Platos Closet they had NEVER been worn and were completely together. Just a year of wear and this is what you get! Now, I do admit there are vegan shoes that are great but most vegans I know buy cheap, made in China shoes and just buy them over and over again. I am looking for stuff that lasts and clearly these are not it. What is sad is these are SOOO comfy, they are fleece lined and insanely cozy....ahh well. Let the vegan boot hunt BEGIN!
Time for some Katie love!
Any vegan fashionistas out there that can point me in the right direction?
Sorry, I am no help at all in the vegan department. Until you find some, call these your post apocalyptic boots and suddenly they're super cool, right? :o)
That's really interesting, I never owned a pair of vegan shoes myself and somehow had an impression that they would always be of good quality - my brain has probably been "veganwashed". :) It's so difficult to be a consumer and make good decisions, when it's not enough to choose the better options from the bad ones, but on top of that you have to narrow the choices down and select the ultimate best options from the ones that you thought were good enough already.
Please leave comments :) I love learning more about my readers and having them ask me questions! If you dont feel comfortable asking here feel free to email me! theyearofslowfashion-at-gmail-dot-com
