tribal and stripes. day two-hundred-twenty-eight.

IMG_9742
winter has just kept on coming so sunny and I kept going indoors for our photo-meetups. I love the old piano factory in Grand Haven. Such a cool location with this really old wood floors and fun sounds echoing through the halls. I totally went 80s with this vibe and even attempted to curl up my hair. Its a little funky and I have like a million ideas on how to change it up in the future but thats whatcha get. Don't you just love these high-waisted denim pants? I am obsessed...just wait until you see the jacket they came with....just crazy. Gotta figure out how to wear it still though. Also I got bored and added some fun filters to the photos ;)

fringy sweater. day two-hundred-twenty-seven.

IMG_6798
This sweater is oh-so-80's and makes me oh-so-happy!!!! I finally did something different with my hair pulling it up into a do wacka do. Mostly because I 'didn't shower' but I got all sorts of compliments so dang maybe I should shower less (minus the smelly part seems legit to me..). My doggies helped a lot with this shoot...sometimes they are so helpful. There are all sorts of good ground smells now that things are springin so I think that drives most of what they do outdoors now.

LOVE wearing red. day one-hundred-seventy-nine.

IMG_5811
On Friday I wore red to help spread awareness about the number one killer of women in America, Heart Disease. I wore not as much red as I thought I would but I never have looked that great in red, I think a little goes a long way when dressing for a cause. There is some weird red situations going on with like 4 different shades of red but whatever! I also looked totally 80's awesome with my boots and slouchy socks that give me cankles..go cankles!!!!!. Get jealous. It was snowing like crazy so it was hard to get some shots in without blurry snow.

Wear red all February to promote a healthy heart with the American Heart Association GO RED Campaign. This cause has personal impact for me and is something I feel passionately about! Heart health is one of the many on a long list of reasons that I went vegan.

post thanksgiving. day one-hundred-eleven.

IMG_2966
I know it seems like SO LONG ago but i just had the most wonderful thanksgiving. Honestly i had this whole outfit planned and never wore it and was a complete mess the whole day from a hangover but by the time the food came out (and thanks so much to Jean for making me my own vegan thanksgiving meal) i was ready to eat! It was so nice to be surrounded by amazing people I got to meet many of the boy's friends and family members and it was just great. The day after Thanksgiving was kind of sad because i had to head back home, its hard being in a long distance relationship but it definitely has its benefits as well! Again lots of layers for traveling times, especially when stopping at all the toll lines rolling down windows ;) layers come in handy.

going to the theatre. day eighty.

IMG_1614_edited-1
IMG_1617_edited-1
I got the chance a few weeks back to write a press release for my local theatre group. My parents actually met doing theatre and it was nice to get back to helping out. So i decided to actually go SEE the show i helped write the press release for :) The show was amazing, Natalie and Joe are the local theatre power couple and they are phenomenal. It was good to see them on stage together! See photo of them below : )

I think the median age of attendance was about 65 which i find sad. I love the theatre so much and i just feel like if our local group did one 'hip' show a season they would get more young traffic. Do you like the theatre? I find that a lot of my friends say its too expensive, or that they would just rather go to a movie? What keeps you from going to see a live play? I know for me a lot of times its the venue, uncomfortable seats made for children, a lack of proper heating/cooling etc or the actual show choice. I am always thinking of ways to get more people to attend live shows. But i am never given the chance to try them out. I personally know social media does a bang up job of helping with getting attention....but how could i possibly help if never given the chance! Personally am a huge fan of THIS article about it... :)

cat sweater and silk trousers. day sixtyseven

IMG_1122
YAY! I found myself one of those really 'in' Cat sweaters. Specifically mine is a leopard one likely from the 90's. Super comfy. Will be great with jeans and boots and even over a collar shirt with a skirt i think! I have been feeling really uninspired with my clothing lately like i have said but luckily i finally got dressed!

this jacket is crazy fantastic. My mom has not worn it in years i had to wipe some dust off of it but i love the color, the length the EVERYTHING its also surprisingly way warm SNAG. I was feeling lazy and didn't want to steam my pants. Seemed like a lot of work. Normally i think of it before i go in the shower and just throw them in the bathroom with me BUT i had no idea what i was going to wear so wrinkly pants it is! Judge away!
