neon blocking. day three-hundred-nine

Ever since this TENDEN photo shoot I captured in instagram I have wanted to purchase one of the TENDEN summer collection shirt. But since he SOLD the one I loved it took me awhile to decide on this one. I love the combination of grey and neon its really great to pair crazy neon colors with a nice cool neutral. And of course I played up the color by adding a neon blue skirt and some multi-colored tribal sandals! 

I adore this new space in downtown-GH. My 10 year highschool reunion is later this summer. That should be interest

diy tribal shorts. day three-hundred-seven

I love quick DIY's. 

I have a whole pile of DIY's sitting waiting for me to actually DO and instead this piece of fabric comes into my life and I quickly throw this together. My DIY Tribal Shorts. Super easy. There are some things I am not liking about them but because they are so easy I will try them again. I just have seen these fabric / jean shorts in these tribal/southwestern prints and wanted some. But slow fashion me means either they are hundreds of dollars or its a DIY! Woot! So i sewed these on around the pockets by hand and then sewed around the rest with machine. I think the one thing is i should have covered up the whole side and not left the zipper exposed. The fabric turns into blue and it just looks kinda weird. So I may redo the whole front :P But i even sewed the peekaboo pocket and a back pocket (which I never took a stinkin picture of...grrr). I will instagram a shot of them :)

You will see why I named this post what I did in a minute. 

Now we were headed for our mini-trip to Portland! This is what I wore on the travels. I love slipping on a pair of cozy moccasins for travel. I wore these on the plane and many times on the trip. They have little niblets on the bottom of them that kind of massage your feet as you walk. AHHH. 

Anyway so we drove across all this gorgeous farmland (including tulips, goats and even a creepy adventure park). It was a great drive, once we arrived we sat down and had a drink. I kept on the same sweatshirt because our lounge was right by the room and after all the travels I needed a drink! :-D 

I know I have been really heavy on the text/links lately but I have been feeling chatty. This is what happens when you spend your evening actually working on blog posts like you planned and not all the other things you should do too! Woot. Get over it. Don't follow the links psh. See if I care ;-)

Lately my auto post is not working properly and I keep waking up to find out my post never happened! Guess I need to be more dilligent about checking BEFORE bed. But with the 30 day yoga challenge I am doing after a long day of work and yoga I basically pass out upon returning home. Ah well you will survive and so will I. Just is annoying.....ANYWAYS clothing. SO AMPED to have brought out shorts and sandals this last week. Its back to pants and light jackets this week but last week was awesome :) I love this tribal inspired shirt I got, apparently tribal was way cool in the 90's too. How convenient.

winter has just kept on coming so sunny and I kept going indoors for our photo-meetups. I love the old piano factory in Grand Haven. Such a cool location with this really old wood floors and fun sounds echoing through the halls. I totally went 80s with this vibe and even attempted to curl up my hair. Its a little funky and I have like a million ideas on how to change it up in the future but thats whatcha get. Don't you just love these high-waisted denim pants? I am obsessed...just wait until you see the jacket they came with....just crazy. Gotta figure out how to wear it still though. Also I got bored and added some fun filters to the photos ;)
