I love simple outfits. Especially when traveling a simple outfit plan is the best! Skinny jeans and tops with different shoes is a go-to for me! It makes it so i can pack more shoes ;)

Today is my first day at my new job! I am really excited but also nervous about my time management between that and the blog! I hope I can keep up and I think with a good plan I can!

Some pieces of clothes you wear once and your like I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN I WILL WEAR THIS AGAIN. This t-shirt was one of them. I figured it would moonlight as a pj shirt until festival season and then come out and get altered somehow but it feels just right to wear it in the dead of winter. When its cold cold cold! I styled this totally different from THE LAST TIME I WORE IT. But you should check it out cause it was pretty hot too. 

Still sick but with much more energy, trying to enjoy my last day off before I start my new job tomorrow!

cold windy city. day one-hundred-forty-eight.

I headed back to Chicago for the New Years celebrations and also to spend some time with my boyfriend before he goes back to school and I start my new job. I hate not knowning when we will see each other again but that is kind of how it will be until I can know when I can get a few days off work in a row to go visit or until he has Spring Break. Anyway, Chicago was cold as heck! That wind really adds a whole other level of coldness BRRR. SO glad i remembered to bring my hat this time around! This is the outfit I wore on the train. The skirt has sparkles (hard to tell with the lighting) and I left a bunch behind on the train! 

Now I am posting this in bed from my laptop very very sick! I haven't been sick in over a year and bah i am not pumped about it. It is just awful. Hope everyone stays healthy out there

I love the library so much. My local library provides me with what I like to call slow-reading. Instead of buying tons of books you will only read one time use your local library! I have been doing it since I was a kid, now don't get me wrong i buy a few books now and then but these are usually AFTER i read them or something written by my favorite authors. Libraries also allow you to explore topics you may not otherwise read! This is how I discovered slow fashion after all! Through THIS BOOK (which I still do not own and would really like a signed copy of). So make an effort this year to slow down some parts of your life, be it food, clothes or even reading!

a sunny winter. day one-hundred-forty-six.

Winter has been so mild it has been nice for blogging. I got together with my favorite local blogger friend Kristin from Everythings Always Sunny to get some tea and take some photos. I love catching up with her, her energy is so positive and lovely I adore everthing about her! If you still havent checked out her blog now is a great time, she just moved to Wordpress and she is loving it. I have thought about making the move but to be honest i really like the simplicity of blogger.

Seemed only right for my first post of the new year to be a remix of my first post on the blog! This is the outfit i wore on DAY ONE way back in August. I have had an amazing time with this blog since then and I am really looking forward to things to come this year! I am grateful to all of my readers and am excited to bring some interviews, giveaways and collaborations this year. I hope to spend more time working on the content of this blog! THANKS TO YOU ALL!
