keep calm. day one-hundred-sixty-five.

I have never been a big fan of the whole 'keep calm' series. I dunno what it is about it. I used to be pretty high strung, then I started slowing down life, meditating, doing yoga, thinking more, and I became a lot calmer. I still have freak out spaz situations but they are less frequent then when I was younger. However, things like telling me to be calm (or telling me to do anything frankly) makes my skin burn and I become tend to do exactly the opposite of what was told (LIKE GET ANGRY! take your calm and shove it...hehe). So when a sign tells me to Keep Calm I have some choice words for said sign.......However there is something funny about this one. ZOMBIES!!!! Frankly I become calm just reading it. 

So touche Keep Calm series....you win. I am calm. Now WHERE?ARE?THE?ZOMBIES???? .......And yes...i can wear heels to kill zombies because well..have you seen The Walking Dead? Zombies don't move THAT fast.

the red wall. day one-hundred-sixty-four.

There has been a lot of 'red wall' love on the blog as of late. And here is why. This is my home, I spent my whole life in this house. Also starting the new job its just easier to take photos at home. I have lots of wonderful backdrops but when its cold I don't venture too far too often. This spot is on the east facing side where we have our patio and during winter all the furniture is put away. That means a vast expanse of red wall for me to get my shoot on. 

Fellow fashion bloggers: Do you have a favorite location you take your photos? I like to take mine wherever I am that day but sometimes that can get boring. I would love to take more photos out and about!

I have a real obsession with owls. SO when i saw this owl sweater I had to have it. I didn't get a photo (i suck i know) of the back but it is so cute because its the BACK SIDE of the owls. I paired it with this cute collared shirt cause i wanted it to be as cutesy as possible. But my new chainmaille bracelet from Hightower Chains kinda makes me seem pretty cool I think.

up the ante. day one-hundred-sixty-two

Life has been so busy! New full-time job. Posting everyday, fur babies, life. I am missing some things like crazy and am working on time management to get them all done. Because I was sick when I first started working I didn't have much energy after a long day of new and exciting things so I would go almost right to bed. Now I am feeling much better and need to manage my time out of work better!  One thing I really miss is my sewing machine. I have so many projects in mind or partially done I want to finish but I keep chosing books and tea, or working on outfit posts instead. Is anyone getting sick of outfits? Me me me, I talked a bit with a blogger friend about this yesterday. It is so much easier for me to do an outfit post because, well, I get dressed EVERYDAY. I have it down to where it takes me maybe 10 minutes to do enough photos to get a decent post going.....its just like second nature after 162 days of posting on the daily. Other things take a lot of time, even typing a lot is a lot of time so I tend to be brief on that. Anyway I guess my point is I have been making an effort to begin doing more on the blog. There is an interview and a giveaway on the way soon and really exciting guest posts as well! I also want to talk about the more serious issues in fashion and why I chose slow fashion. I am going to up the ante but bear with me it will take some getting used to not posting only outfits! 

Anyway, about the clothing. I fell in love with this sweater at first sight. The pretty pink is so fun and girly and not something I have much of, I also have an obsession with balls on sweaters and then there was a REMOVABLE cowl and I just scooped that thing up for 3.99 and finally months later am posting it. I love pink and black its really feminine and funky. I would pair this again with my black spikey boots

One thing you may not know about me is I am obsessed with music. I like all kinds of music, but I have a passion for Rock. Its kind of this dying art form i feel like. A lot of bands call themselves rock but really are just ...well...not. You can probably argue with me on this but I just feel like rock today is not quite where it was! But anyway, I love Kings of Leon. And just having read that they are recording their next album I got really geeked and HAD to wear my shirt. So here it is!

I love taking the dogs out to do photos with me. I think they like it too! Right before work I love to take them out and wear them out so they can just rest all day! Its been quite awhile since I have worn this shirt, but it went so nice with this skirt it seemed only right.
