day seventeen. lace lace lace.

Today I was feeling really funky so I decided to wear my feelings. Lace from head to toe. I adore these lace pants i got from a boutique in downtown Grand Haven. This top is from Nordstroms last year. I think this is the most 'fast fashion' outfit i have shown with really nothing older than a year. This is rare.... But i Love this outfit. :D 

 these shoes i also wore in Day 7 with Everythings Always Sunny. I miss her! She is in Vegas I am very jealous!

day sixteen. chambray shirt and yellow handmade shorts

Today i was feeling very a very comfy outfit was necessary so i threw on these vintage handmade yellow shorts and this chambray short sleeve top and wedges from Target. I was taking pictures of Michaela today so I wanted to be comfy. I don't like how the tie on this shirt is sewed on so i plan to fix that. It cuts me off at the wrong spot. I think I would also like to alter the sleeves to fit me a bit better. 

 its been really warm it was really nice to keep the summer wardrobe coming for a bit longer!

 Get excited because SOON i will be doing another HOW TO and also covering the September issues of all the fashion mags and how I found these looks thrifting/handmaking!

day fifteen. Sequin shorts and long patterned shirt.

My mom and I headed out for a day of errands starting out at Fields Fabric in Spring Lake. We went so I could get new needles and some stuff for my projects in the TO DO LIST. I had my DSLR but FORGOT THE BATTERY. so Today you get iPhone shots! 

it was kind of cool but still very nice out so I felt like I needed a longer shirt and boots. I love wearing boots with shorts. 

My jewelry was super fun and funky. Necklace was a find from Plato's Closet, Bracelet i got eons ago and Ring I also wore on Day Ten. 

Boots are from Uniquely Stranded. Last purchase before I quit!

I was geeking out in the discount fabric section! I got the fabric to do a new project in my TO DO list inspired by the Needlepoint  I have seen all over fashion magazines.

Today I went and visited Hightower Forge to take pictures for his blog which should be up soon! I had a blast doing it. I was lazy and didnt feel like doing much so i threw on this amazing Silk shirt from India and some cutoff shorts.

Right outside the forge is this GORGEOUS international truck. I was in heaven CAN I HAVE THIS PLEASE?

These shoes are so comfortable. I got them from Lee and Birch in downtown GH. 

I was having no fun ;) 

My bracelet is an old piece which i LOVE. I used to have an amazing necklace to match but it has gone missing!

day thirteen. rocking out with my favorite kicks

Can you tell I was in an exceptionally good mood this day? I QUIT MY JOB and was just so relieved. The energy was draining out of me daily since the store announced its closing and I was not being treated at all well so I just up and quit! I am very proud of my decision and feel so much happier. HILLARIOUS enough thirteen is my lucky number and this post fell as day thirteen :D 

Lindsey met me for drinks at Odd Side Ales in Grand Haven after she got out of work and took this photos. I will miss her dearly, it was her last day too! 

these shoes I have had for years and were thrifted. They were a hit with everyone. They were so comfy for running around for the last day of sidewalk sales. 

Bracelet is from Hightower Chains again! Necklace was thrifted and ring is one of those spoon rings I got an arts and crafts fair. My belt was given to me by my sister years ago. 

I had so much fun with Lindsey. We later went to Randy of Hightower Chains fashion show in Muskegon. Check out his blog which i sometimes do photography for!

day twelve. turquoise striped silk and black cutoff shorts

here is a sneak peak into the timeline of this blog! This was Friday the first day of sidewalk sales! It was very mild out but I knew i would be running around so i wore this silk blend top and cutoff black shorts to keep comfy. I was very comfy! 

we were right by the Burton sample tent. Those guys were the epitome of snowboard culture. I loved chatting with them all day they were funny. 

gotta keep it light and fun for the craziest days in Grand Haven retail! 

my shoes are from Meijer. I kept getting compliments on them and then people were shocked I got them at Meijer. I got them with my mom and I actually remember getting the wrong size and dorkily taking them back. Who doesn't try on shoes. This was when i was still sucked into fast fashion. 

My necklace is the Harry Potter deathly hallows and i got it from this amazing shop on Etsy. He makes all sorts of badass movie/tv related stuff (HP, Hunger Games, Twilight, Game of Thrones etc.) and I want it all!

Chainmaille bracelet again from Hightower Chains. Check out his blog I have been helping a bit with! Other bracelet is Juicy Couture i got at Nordstroms Rack awhile back. Ring is my Grandfathers turquoise.
