I can't even look at this photo all I see is this shit. See this AMAZING shirt. This shirt I HAD TO HAVE because it practically screams me. Well I don't know what happened. But the back of it has these rando black lines on it. I didn't notice it the first time I wore it (no one said a thing..but you know how you will have something in your teeth and NO ONE TELLS you..maybe that happened). But after I washed it once I noticed it...So i treated it and washed it again..and again... and NO LUCK.
Just has these stupid black lines in it and it makes my soul so sad.
I am currently paring down on my wardrobe hardcore and this shirt made the cut until I saw this. Now I don't know what to do. I mean I can wear it with my oversized grandpa sweaters all I want but if I get warm are people just going to gawk at me and be like WHAT IS HER DEAL??
Anyone I am super sad about it.... It is such a rad shirt and such a great light green color. WHAT DO I DO!?!? Do I buy a new one or just let it go and wear it anyway...so torn.
This is basically my go-to uniform of fall/winter (clearly these photos were taken a bit ago... I always seem to be behind. Thanks Kristin for these!).
Sorry all. I keep meaning to put on some fresh clothes and take my own picture but I for
1) don't feel very good in my clothes at the moment (as i have told you all before)
2) have like NO time to take my own picture
I spend all day every day taking other peoples pictures and editing them the idea of doing my own is DAUNTING.
SO finally I met up with a new photographer friend. She is so fabulously fantastic and I am pretty sure we are new BFFs I snapped a bunch of photos of her and she did so of me too.
I also happened to actually buy a new shirt this same day when out with my girl Kristin. And I am obsessed with it. All fall I have just been wanting to live in oversized shirts in black/grey at least this one has a little zazz with the zipper on the side.
So if you guys are missing out on me you can follow along on my photographic journeys on my
If not thats cool too. Just thought I would give you the option :D
Also check out Alycia's work who did all of these amazing photographs. I LOVE her eye and her editing style is so fresh and fantastic i die (she also gets to take photos of a LOT of really pretty people and the fracking Red Wings so I am a bit jealous)

Another post courtesy of the lovely Down to Earth shop in downtown GH..... it has been awhile since these photos have been taken but I have been so busy with work photos I keep forgetting to post anything of myself! They had just put up the 'coast guard city usa' signs on Dewy hill downtown and this was a perfect summer time outfit/shoot!
I appreciate all of the nice comments about my last post. Body image issues are something I have always struggled with and this blog has been a huge source for me to combat that. I love seeing all the nice things people have to say about me..but sometimes it still doesn't change how you feel inside. This summer has been hard for me to feel confident in my skin and my clothes...fall is my time of year so I am hoping as we reach that I will start to feel happier with the selfies I am taking.
New and exciting things are happening with my business and my life! I can't wait to share big projects with you all and big changes!
Been taking a non-planned hiatus from the blog due to body-image issues and just absolute life craziness. My photography business has been growing like crazy and it has been amazing. I am constantly busy shooting, editing, blogging and putting myself out there for more work.
Also not feeling comfortable in my clothes and living in 2 cities has made fashion blogging hard..... there are really a million excuses and none of them valid. When i started this blog and had a year of blogging daily I somehow made THAT work amongst the craziness but apparently i just haven't been feeling it lately.
Well a few weeks ago I met up with my friend Kristin (of that gorgeous blog Everythings Always Sunny) about a project she is starting.... I will be taking lovely photos of her pretty often and that is pretty rad. We headed to Down to Earth, a local fashion/home decor store in Grand Haven and got to styling. I put together this gorgeous floral top and lace shorts along with a bunch of bracelets, Kristins shoes and voila! Outfit!
I actually felt really good in this outfit. The top is super flattering on my current figure and I have been craving a pair of lace shorts, I decided to take these babies home with me.
Super thanks to Kristin for always being a babe and for taking these photos!

It has taken me awhile to be like 'Oh ok I want to make that into a blog post'. For a whole year i posted no matter how much I liked the outfit or the photos. Since then I have felt less 'inclined' to post frequently. Obviously. Ah well. I am at a point where editing myself and spending more time on posts is more important than frequency. Some awesome life changes are coming and I am hoping that the blog will find its cozy place as I venture onward. I plan to use it as a catalyst actually to continue moving my photography and blogging skills forward along with me. Yay Change!
and who doesn't love an impromptu shoot at an apartment/parking complex?
